Using Mother Hen as a case study. Mother Hen has four manners of calling her chickens.
1. The Common Call
2. The Special Call
3. The Brooding Call
4. The Alarm Call
The Mother Hen uses the Common Call to call the attention of the chickens to herself. She uses this call all day long.
The Mother Hen uses the Special Call occasionally whenever there is food to give the chickens. This Call makes the chickens to start running towards their mother. They are sure of something to be given to them.
The Mother Hen uses the Brooding Call to call her chickens to herself for warmth and safety. She covers them under her protective wings when it is raining or when it is time to roost.
The Mother Hen uses the Alarm Call to call the attention of the chickens to an imminent danger. As soon as the chickens hear the Alarm Call, they would start running for safety and refuge. Mother Hen does this each time she sees the vultures, the snakes or other enemy approaching.

By His Special Call, Jesus calls His Disciples when He has something to give them.
He calls them into ministry.
